Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 July 2026  ·  Effective: 9 July 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the StrideYear mobile application and website at strideyear.com, operated by Kenny Geerinck (“we”, “us”), based in Belgium. By downloading the app or using the service you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

StrideYear is a distance running tracker that lets you set a yearly mileage goal, connect fitness data from Strava and health platforms, earn trophies, and compare progress with friends. Some features require a paid subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use StrideYear. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at strideyear@hotmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions

StrideYear offers the following paid plans:

Subscriptions are processed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

To cancel, manage your subscription through your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

5. Free trial

Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand. You will not be charged during the trial.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Health disclaimer

StrideYear displays fitness data for personal tracking purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified health professional before starting or changing a training programme.

8. Intellectual property

9. Third-party integrations

StrideYear integrates with Strava, Apple Health, Google Health Connect, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data from third-party sources.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StrideYear is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or interruption of service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us. Upon termination your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
